Regeneron PMPD Building Topping-Off

Torcon recently joined Regeneron and members of the project team to celebrate the installation of the final piece of structural steel on the new preclinical manufacturing and process development (PMPD) building in Tarrytown. The new research facility is one of the first components in Regeneron’s campus expansion project. A new 1100-car parking garage, which will be connected to the PMPD building, is set to be opened later this summer. An initial road infrastructure improvement program is nearing completion.

Regeneron commenced construction in June 2023 on a $1.8 billion expansion of its Tarrytown, New York facilities, following an announcement made in 2021. New York Governor Kathy Hochul commended Regeneron for its role in combatting the COVID-19 pandemic with its monoclonal antibody, acknowledging the company’s contribution to saving lives. Regeneron, the largest biotech company in New York, will construct a total of eight new buildings. The project will occur in two phases over the course of 6 years, with an expected completion date in 2027. The expansion project was initially estimated to create at least one thousand new full-time jobs.
