End of summer means students are headed back to campus! At Seton Hall University, returning students will get to spend Fall days and nights at the newly renovated Bishop Dougherty University Center. The 60-year-old building, which is a hub of student life, has been transformed. Torcon recently completed a two-phased renovation, enhancing the dining hall, providing study, lounge and recreation spaces, and completely refurbished the 170-seat performing arts theater. This latest phase, designed by Clarke Caton Hintz, also provided exciting improvements outside the building, including a tiered grass amphitheater, firepits and raised plaza suitable for outdoor dining.
The University Center is Seton Hall’s most-visited campus building and is designed to promote community among students and provide opportunities for extracurricular enrichment, recreation, and - most importantly - a place to dine with their peers.

Congratulations to Patricia Swannack, who was recently honored by Monmouth University. Patti was a long time member of the University’s staff and was Vice President for several projects completed by Torcon over the years. She was an exceptional person to work for: decisive, fair and a natural leader. Her imprint can be felt all over the University and her legacy is her commitment to Monmouth U and to its students. Swannack Gateway is a fitting tribute to an outstanding person and someone we were thrilled to call a customer.
