Torcon led the construction of a new six-story, 90,000 sq. ft. student center at Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City. The MacMahon Student Center provides a larger and more efficient space for the students to gather and enjoy many aspects of college life. Highlights of the facility include: Green Construction; Campus Store; Campus Ministry and Mission Office; Campus Radio Station; Student Activities, Government Offices and Meeting Facilities; Special Events Area with Flexible Space Configurations.

The design for the center was developed based on the input of students. Key features include living room-style lounges, a coffee shop, spacious dining areas, fitness and game rooms, and office space. The center also serves the local community through The Duncan Family Sky Room, an event facility offering panoramic views of lower Manhattan across the Hudson River and seating for more than 400 people.

The center features dining facilities on the second and third floors, a fitness facility and game area complete with an Xbox system on the fourth floor, and student activity rooms on the fifth floor where clubs can hold meetings.

The facility is LEED Gold.
