The build to suit facility for RWJBH includes PAT, Infusion, Pharmacy, Transplant Clinic, Colorectal, GI, CVI Surgical and Vascular, Cardiology Clinic, Neurology Clinic, EEG/EMG & Stroke, ENT & Audiology, ENT & Speech, Plastics & Sterile Processing.
The structural steel framed building is enclosed with a unitized exterior curtain wall with cantilevered floors, in combination with prefabricated exterior insulated metal wall panels. The facility includes an ambulance bay, loading dock, and covered drop off area for patients, with four high-speed elevators.
The building required four different types of foundations: micro piles, rock anchors, mat foundations, and underpinning due to the height of the building and the small footprint. The building also includes an internal connection to the Plum Street parking garage, and spans a public street to the Children’s Hospital.
