Paul Robeson Charter School Celebrates Ribbon Cutting
Torcon proudly attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new academic building at Paul Robeson Charter School (PRCS). This event marked the completion of a transformative, community-focused project that will support students for generations to come.
The ceremony brought together school administrators, faculty, students, alumni, and the design and construction teams to commemorate this significant milestone. Attendees toured the state-of-the-art building as PRCS prepares to welcome its first group of students after the Thanksgiving break.
The new facility features 38 academic classrooms, specialized science laboratories, designated elective spaces, and administrative and academic support areas. At its core lies a combined cafeteria and gymnasium that serves as a central gathering point. Throughout the school, flexible learning zones and collaborative spaces create welcoming environments that promote creativity and student engagement. Additionally, outdoor recreation areas are set to be completed this spring.
As Construction Manager, Torcon collaborated closely with the full design and engineering team to bring this vision to reality, working alongside AOS (Architect), Kelly Maiello Architects (Associate Architect), Ground Reconsidered (Landscape Architect), Carroll Engineering (Civil Engineer), O’Donnell & Naccarato (Structural Engineer), Bala Consulting Engineers (MEP/FP Engineer), NV5 (AV/IT/Security), and Corsi Associates (Food Service Consultant). Aegis Property Group served as the Owner’s Representative.
We are thrilled to see this project come to fruition and look forward to the positive impact it will have on the community!
