PSE&G CARBON ABATEMENT PROGRAM
Morristown Medical Center has engaged Torcon Energy services to provide program management services in order to assist the medical center in completing the recommended Energy Conservation Measures as part of Public Service Electric and Gas's (PSE&G) Carbon Abatement Program. This PSE&G initiative is designed to reduce carbon emissions by lowering the energy consumption of hospitals and to provide hospitals with up-front financing for eligible efficiency installations.
Torcon Energy Services' program management services includes consultation and advice, constructability reviews, development and maintenance of a master critical path project schedule, maintenance of a comprehensive logistics plan, coordination of A/E professionals and contractors, and budget refinement and cost control for the selected projects. These include a 900-ton chiller replacement, chiller variable frequency drive installation, and chiller optimization. Additional energy efficiency projects include the installation of high efficiency motors, lighting controls, lighting retrofits and lighting occupancy sensors.
